Typical applications:

PBN Crucibles

As different systems require different shapes, among others, the major applications of these crucibles are available in a wide

 range of formats including Vertical Gradient Freeze (VGF), Liquid Encapsulated Czochralski (LEC), and MBE Epitaxy.

For crystal growth applications, PBN crucibles and boats are used to contain the melt, e.g. GaAs, InP and GaN, as it is

transformed from a poly-crystalline state to a single crystal. Its ultra-high purity and unique thermal properties

makes PBN excellent candidate to consider for the crystal growth vessel.

PBN Crucibles for MBE, OLED, and effusion cell hardware

Our MBE Crucibles are used to vaporize a variety of materials e.g. Gallium (Ga) and Aluminum (Al) for epitaxial growth compound

semiconductors, it’s to fit MBE tools from major organic molecules effusions (OMEs). 

                                                           

 

 

PBN Plates

Our PBN plates are excellent for heating arrays for MOCVD reactors and as electrical insulators for CIGS and OLED sources as

they benefit from uniform temperatures across the plate, increased system uptime, consistent system performance and a long

life, which ultimately saves costs.

Our ability to manufacture large plates and to machine all components on site for accuracy and consistency. E.g., insulators,

heat shields, and wafer holders. Our engineers work closely with our customers in designing and selecting correctly for their

PBN Coated Graphite

PBN can be coated on graphite surface to seal and protect graphite from very corrosive atmospheres including most molten

 metals, acids, and hot ammonia, e.g. to resist NH3

atmosphere at high temperatures (as in the case of the MOCVD machine process). PBN coated graphite components

 are optimum to avoid consumption of graphite parts and contamination, not only to extend heater life or temperature

 capability, but to provide electrical breakdown protection in MBE, CIGS PV and OLED applications. The components

can be used as heaters, susceptors and reflectors.
